Im working on something like that. Im going to send via twillo a 6 digit otp from twillo and then upon verification enable user to get a link to his shared drive (good for legal firms that collect your docs or accountants that collect receipts etc)

yeah as a work around i also just share link for the user to upload but its a bit sketchy causing some users to drop off at that point

I can imagine. You might be able to clean up the link as much possible, rename it to something friendly, and link them your custom server/clouddrive. Not ideal but can't see another way atm.
