Messaging endpoint location
# 🤝help
t
Hello everyone ! Can I know where I can find the "messaging endpoint" link for a teams bot ?
a
Could you give a bit more details as to what you'd like to achieve? Do you want to send messages via the api and have the messages go through to a bot on Microsoft Teams?
f
t
Yes, I did followed the documentation
I want to be able to use botpress as if I was on the chat pannel, but through a Teams bot
I already have a tenant and teams bot on, and want to link it tout botpress workflow
b
So you want to connect your already built Teams Bot, with Botpress?
t
Exactly
Hello everyone, did anyone found a solution ?
c
We'll release the ability to create your own integration using the Botpress SDK in a couple of days. This will allow you to talk directly with your bot. This feature is webhook based. If you want a realtime (Websocket) option this will come later on. We are still working on this feature 🚀.
t
I am juste having some issues with the messaging endpoint parameter during the Teams & BP integration
The second picture is the Microsoft Bot Framework, which allowed me to create a Teams bot correctly, but the bot isn’t returning any response (although the integration is working perfectly on Slack)
Is there anything I did wrong ? (If you need more information, feel free to ask)
f
@famous-jewelry-85388 can you help with this issue?
a
@green-whale-28135 when you have the solution, please post it here 🤠
f
Hi @thousands-waiter-3970 , Where are you testing your bot from?
Is it possible to send us a screenshot from the first couple of nodes of the bot?
I am sure this is a naïve question, but did you publish the bot?
one last question, can you double check that you are using the Value from this step:
it's one of the most common mistakes
In addition to this step:
t
hello ! I did published the bot as well, made sure no 'dumb' mistakes were remaining, but the bot works perfectly fine on botpress & Slack
I just checked the values, and nothing seems to be wrong 😔
f
Where are you testing the bot from?
t
both on the Teams app directly, and the Test window of the framework
f
and the Test window of the framework
and it is not working from there correct?
Is there an error in the logs?
t
yes, I'm gonna show you the error
f
Perfect!
t
this is the error message I am facing when sending a message to the bot, either on the test window or the Teams bot
f
Understood. I think this is a misconfiguration, what is the bot ID? just copy paste the URL
t
I am not sure if you want the App ID or the webhook URL
f
just the URL from the browser
it contains the bot ID
f
@colossal-egg-20510 can you check the logs please?
meanwhile, would you like to recheck all the steps? or would you like to wait for the logs?
t
to be honest, I have been checking multiple times the steps (even created a few other bots from zero) so I will just wait for the logs 😄
f
NP, I understand 😁
Most probably it will say clientId is wrong 😆
t
hope we can manage to fix this 😔
c
@famous-jewelry-85388 On it. 👀
Looking at the logs of the integration the teams integration showed the error message 700016 which means the application isn't installed in the tenant: https://login.microsoftonline.com/error?code=700016
t
do you have any documentation/tips to fix this specific problem ?
c
Unfortunately, this issue comes from a misconfiguration in the azure cloud / bot framework. I do remember having something similar some months ago the first time I configured a bot using the teams integration. I'll take a look in case I remember anything.
t
alright ! thanks for the help, I'll make my own researches :)
c
Did you use the multitenant authentication method in your azure app instead of the single tenant ?
t
I used the single tenant
ho and I have this error message on the web chat channel, I don't know if it is related or not :
c
could you try using the multitenant option this could be the solution.
t
nothing happens
I still have the exact same error code after doing the whole Azure procedure for the Tenant, this issue is giving me a really hard time 😔
c
I'll see what I can do on our side to give you more insight on your issue but for what I can tell the teams integration is working fine:
t
Did you have any specific things to do ? The problem then might not come from the Teams - BP integration 😮
c
I probably need to review the steps one by one to make sure we didn't forget anything. I get back to you tomorrow and improve the documentation if required.
t
Alright ! I’ll stay tuned ! :)
hello ! is there any news for our problem ?
c
@colossal-egg-20510 would know best!
c
I still need to do the review of the integration to make sure we didn't forget a step in the documentation.
c
@thousands-waiter-3970 You can expect an update by the end of next week. Thanks for your patience 👌
t
Sure, thanks for the help !
c
Anytime! @thousands-waiter-3970
t
Hey there ! I wanted to let you know that the problem has been solved, it was an issue with the publishing of Teams with Botpress, but everything is fine now !
Thank you all for your assistance ! 😃
s
Hello! I am receiving a similar error in my logs, but with Workplace Chat / Messenger intergration.
Any ideas?
c
Hey @bright-magazine-792 any idea on how to solve this?
s
Thanks for following up @crooked-van-25152 ... I can provide more info if neccesary. We are really eager to get BotPress working with our Workplace.
f
@bright-magazine-792 seems like he was not properly tagged.
b
Hey @stale-tailor-49477 there seems to be an update with the Meta Developers Documentation. We're working on making it work with the new updates 💪
s
