The bot lists options that you can pick from or you can type in a question to get the answer from the KB. However when I select an option it's treating it as a knowledge base query as well as a multiple choice which triggers an answer from the KB then proceeds to the next node as well

Hey @powerful-helicopter-39371, with the most recent update, you can turn on "answer manually" in the knowledge base agent's settings. Then, you can add a transition after your choice skill that checks for a KB answer, and, if so, transitions to a node where you tell the answer (see screenshot)
