No such thing as noob questions!! Your Query KBs card should be like:

Is @workflow.aptType available?

that way it will be dynamic. Remember that the query card doesn't show the answer directly, you need to select a variable to store the answer and then use it in a Text card, you can also just use

{{turn.KnowledgeAgent.answer}}

in the text card if you don't want to save it to a custom variable. Let me know if that works for you!
