I built a chatbot with a controlled workflow that gives the user buttons to click to conduct the conversation (single choice, mutliple choice and provided answers). Then I went and added some KB which has been amazing so far. My challenge is, how do I workflow my chatbot so that it accommodates both the users who want the simple button click conversation AND accommodates the user who wants to type in questions and get detailed (KB) answers?

You can add a button for that and connect it to a Knowledge Based card

Do a multiple choice card, connect it to a card and on that card enable knowledge base answering. Now it will answer from the KB
