I wouldn't use the AI Task if the input is empty. I am not sure how it reacts but I don't think that it will work too well. You can put the AI Task on a separate node. Then you can use an expression card to check if the variable that you would use as the input is empty. If it is empty you would skip the AI Task node. If it's not empty you would go to the node.
