Conversation Started Trigger is not working

I'm trying to get my bot to automatically send a welcome message when the bot is opened up with the Conversation Started Trigger. I've tried it both with connecting it to the Start node and without connecting to to the start node. I don't have "Always Alive" on the bot (I'm having difficulty buying as an add-on. But that's a different issue.) Did you try it after publishing the bot? Triggers don't work in the Emulator

Yeah. I've tried publishing it a bunch of times.

There's always a chance they've updated something, I haven't been keeping up with all the latest news and videos. If not, it'll start working again soon 🦾 🚀

Yeah. I think that's a real possibility. I also tried to buy some additional services and that didn't work. Maybe I'll just let it sit for a while and see if it resolves itself.

I started a new bot just to see if it was something going on with my current bot. & can you try using the Conversation Started card from the card tray?
it looks like you've selected the "advanced" option

I have been doing the right click trick and selecting the conversation started trigger option in the menu that appears when I right click. I pulled it from the tray this time. The attached image is doing that. Is it possible that the older bots where I right clicked will not work? I wonder if I need to rebuild them from scratch.

do test them out, but it shouldn't be a problem - alternatively, I would try: 1. deleting the trigger node entirely, and creating a new one from scratch by dragging from the card tray 2. hard refreshing after you make changes

oh wow! I opened it in Firefox instead of Chrome and now it worked. Maybe I need to clear my history. But this is definitely working now. Thank you SOOOO much!

This is a good tip! 🔥 Now it works for me too, doing the exact same thing with a new bot that didn't work yesterday. Maybe there was a little glitch, since I saw 3-4 bot builders writing about that yesterday.

Hey guys, I'm still having the same conversation started trigger issue, I'm following the steps to reboot - how do you create a new one by dragging from the card tray?
I usually right click then select trigger but not working when published in webchat?
Also still having the issue with not being able to upgrade my plan?

Thanks! It’s my first one. I’m super psyched about it.
I found out that the issue was with using the trigger in the ‘right click’ menu. That one does not work. You have to hover over the fly out tray and pull it from there. I also found that even though I did that on an existing bot that it didn’t look like it worked. But that had to do with some sort of caching issue in my browser. When I opened it up in a different browser, it then worked.

Ah not to worry, have figured it out.
I ended up dragging a node from the start node and selecting trigger, then reattaching them correctly and this seems to be working.
Did you manage to fix the add on buying issue?
