Flash preview 2.5 is being deprecated next month
Flash lite 2.5 API was supposedly deprecated in November 2025 (check the docs)
Dont think any of the 2.5 models will live past June/July 2026
It is not worth adding those as they're being culled by Google

@adorable-motherboard-7452 we are currently using Gemini 2.5 Flash in prod and there are no signs on it being deprecated right now. The preview model yes, but that is not the same. We are also using Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite in production and it has not been deprecated, what you are referring to is again the preview model. Preview models offer early access to new features and capabilities. Non-preview models are for stable, reliable production environments. The preview models are only meant to be consumed for testing and feedback before a wider release. I agree with @wide-umbrella-5226 that the Lite version should be added as it is the best model for specific tasks, e.g., small and easy classification tasks.
