Is there some sample code somewhere to open the chat window from an external script?

I almost signed up for the beta. Decided I have enough to learn with what is already there. 🙂 And yes I knew it was coming as a Trigger but that could be a month away, so I just wondered if there was a non-built-in way to accomplish this now.

looking forward to this trigger to be implemented. I think the triggers would become so much more useful once we can open the chat from an external source
