Is the Execute Code AI code generation bugged?

I tried to use it over the weekend and today and nothing gets generated. Not sure if this is a known issue @cold-motherboard-82208

when you click in that window area (edit icon) you disable the AI generation. In the window just before you start typing, if you look to the right hand side there are 3 stars... click that and the main code window will grey out... now type in your request and hit enter and it will generate
the trick here is that you keep the AI generation enabled, type in your request and then review the code that was created. IF you need to tweak it then you can select the edit icon and that large text area will become editable

That's not it. I've tried clicking or not. I can send the video if you prefer. When they're "off" it gets greyed out

I just made an interesting discovery, if I open a brand new bot, it works. So it's not working on my bot I've been wokring on for some time

Sorry for not seeing this before @bumpy-addition-21507 . Are you still running into the same issue? Can you try and republish those older bots and see if it works?

Are you able to click on F12 and open the Browser console? We need a bit more info here. If you could please: 1. Click on Network tab 2. Try to generate a code with the Execute card 3. Click on Enter 4. Look for the: generateContent request 5. Show us what you got there; we'll need a screenshot @bumpy-addition-21507

I also tried on different browsers and on incognito/privacy to account for any extension causing the issue. Let me know if I can provide more info

Honestly I can code it without problem it's just annoying that I lost the convenience and I'm unsure why

@bumpy-addition-21507 The content is empty, but what happens if you click on the Response tab ? If it is still empty, right click in the list of URLs, click on "Save as HAR with content" and send me the file in private message. That file will include the request/response data

@bumpy-addition-21507 Thanks, that really helps me, I was able to reproduce the problem locally using the same query as you. The error message that you should have gotten is "This model's maximum context length is 4097 tokens. However, your messages resulted in 4585 tokens. Please reduce the length of the messages." There's nothing you can do on your side, but i'll fix it and improve the error handling. Thanks for reporting it !

Ah! No worries. Thanks for the help and glad to know it helped out! One last thing, once it's fixed will I be able to keep using the generative ai for code or do I just accept it's gone for this bot now?

Yeah of course! We are just sending too many stuff to gpt, we need to adjust this

Hi, sorry so what is the solution? I also have same bug. Should I just use another bot project to generate code?
@User I am also now getting a bug where if I go to edit the generated code it will wipe the code out. I used to be able to generate code > turn off ai generation > edit > edit code Now when I do this it wipes the code. Is something wrong?

@famous-raincoat-58603 as far as I know they haven't fixed it yet. @colossal-activity-12523 Can let us know when he gets a chance. As for your other bug, I've had this too. The workaround I found is to not generate code until you are in the Fullscreen view of it. If you generate and then edit, it goes away.
