Consistently removing links + hyperlinks when generating responses from KB. It's successfully finding the content from the KB that includes the links, but it's removing them when generating the reply. BUG ID: d9b634f3-f72b-43e0-8b85-1784e7416670

Instruct the KB in ots description to include links in markdown format
w
I did. No dice.
g
What was your prompt?
I remember seeing a prompt given by @rich-battery-69172 himself in this server
w
This is the KB description: This is our master Q&A Document. Check this document first when reviewing the knowledge base. Deliver all links in a markdown format.
g
I think you should tell what the markdown format is for links Like [page_title](page_link)
w
Fixed, thanks
l

sometimes it sends the link and sometimes simply does not
how coul it be inconsistent if the instrucctions are clear?
g
Try breaking your prompt into rules. Like ask the KB to follow all the rules, and then list ilthem one by one
l
ok, this rules go on description or in KB as text?

Description

Hi - also following this thread since i'm facing the same issues - I put detailed instructions in the AI task input but it seems to be largely ignored. I also added kb context but the bot never gives links back. Looking for any structured guidance or best practices for creating a consistent output format.
f
Thanks for sharing this. I wonder if this is best practice?
do you use this format with the AI task as well? (rule setting)
l
@gentle-shampoo-88367 anything we could do
issue persists
@rich-battery-69172 added the detailed instrucctions for the format that you said and that still did not solved it
chatbot consistenly misses links
f
It works for me. Within the AI task I use this as a numbered instruction/rule list. E.g. Instructions: 1. Take the input and convert it into a concise, highly converting ad copy. 2. You must hyperlink the booking page in your call to action using this format [text](https://booking.com/book-now/). 3. Include the price/cost of the service.

(discord turned it into a hyperlink. but this is the markdown
