Hi could anyone help me understand why there is a discrepancy between the typing bubble instantly showing up in the emulator (first video) and it taking a long time to even appear on my website (second video)? Is there any way to trigger the typing bubble on my website or otherwise fix this? Users are clearly dropping off the chat due to what they think is a lack of response.

Are you using the execute code card to generate the responses? Like if you are using an Assistant or a GPT?

@fresh-fireman-491 Yes, it is integrated with an assistant. Would you have any recommendations to get around this?

The best way would be to not use the assistants as that would remove the problem completely. Else I would probably just send a message like "Great question, just a second" if there is a specific part of your flow that takes a lot of time.

Sounds good, thank you. For now that's what I've been doing prior to each message, I'm just figuring out how to only send it for the first few times

Yeah we were just losing too many users, so I assumed that was better than nothing. If you ask a really long question, it should still have a long drop off with no loading bubble
