Include domain / exclude subdomains

For a knowledge base, I want the bot to search on a specific website. This should be an automated search and not prestored websites (because the information are changing very often). I want to include a domain (example.com), but exclude a subdomain (blog.example.com). Is this possible? This would be very helpful for me. Also, would it be possible to filter by time: but not only up to 30 days, but more in the direction of 6 months or 12 months? We have the problem, that the bot takes old responses from outdated blogposts.

I already tried using the search the web kb. The problem is: I can either include or exclude sites. I cannot do both. And including the main domain always includes all subdomains.
