Proactive Human Takeover for Bot Conversations
# 👀feature-requests

The current Human in the Loop feature is excellent for allowing users to request human assistance, but I'd like to propose an enhancement that would allow administrators/agents to proactively take over conversations without requiring user initiation. Currently, human intervention can only occur when triggered by the user, which limits our ability to provide timely assistance when we observe issues in ongoing conversations. As bot builders, we often monitor conversations and notice when the bot is struggling or misunderstanding a user, but we can't intervene directly. I'd like to request the ability for authorized agents to: - Monitor live conversations from the back office > done already - Initiate a takeover at any point - Seamlessly enter the conversation to provide assistance - Hand control back to the bot when finished This would significantly improve customer experience by allowing us to catch and resolve issues before they become problematic, particularly for complex bots where edge cases are difficult to anticipate. Thank you for considering this enhancement!

I completely agree. To do that, I would also like that the view conversations interface was better. I mean, the possibility to see live all the conversations happening at the same time and intervene in those you think a human could handle it better.

I’m developing a SaaS application that integrates directly with Botpress and operates independently of the Botpress dashboard. It provides real-time visibility into all conversations, grouped by Botpress user ID, and includes the ability for agents to proactively initiate Human in the Loop (HITL) interventions. Currently, I’m awaiting approval for public integration. Once that process is complete, I’d be happy to share more details. Let me know if you’re interested!

I'm sure you guys do, but I'm looking for something done within Botpress without any extra costs

My team would love to see this feature as well and are very surprised that it is not built in, it seems like an easy implementation with massive benefits.
